SBI Media TECNO CSR project delivers state-of-the-art football pitches in Lagos, empowering youth and fostering community development

SBI Media, a leading advertising and marketing communications agency, has successfully executed TECNO’s youth and community-focused CSR project by constructing and unveiling two state-of-the-art football pitches in Lagos State.

The Sanwo-Olu Mini Stadium at Sura, Lagos Island, was inaugurated on 23 December, followed by the Alade Pitch on Alade Stadium Road, Alimosho, on 24 December.

The facilities, designed to be safe, accessible, and professionally built sporting hubs, are expected to serve thousands of young people, promoting grassroots talent development, social inclusion, and community engagement.

Industry observers highlight the initiative as part of a broader trend of brands investing in sustainable infrastructure rather than short-term interventions.

SBI Media managed the project end-to-end, including strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure development, project supervision, launch execution, and media coordination.

The agency translated TECNO’s CSR vision into tangible community assets, showcasing its capacity for large-scale, socially impactful initiatives.

The launch ceremonies attracted top government officials and sports administrators.

Dignitaries included the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende; Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports, Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka; Lagos Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Liameed Gafaar; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Mr. Damilare Orimoloye; and Senior Special Assistant on Sports Marketing and Administration, Mr. Onaopepo Adu.

Rotimi Bankole, Managing Director of SBI Media, said the project exemplifies the agency’s dedication to purpose-led work.

“This project is not just about advertising or visibility. It is about building infrastructure that empowers young people, strengthens communities, and leaves a lasting legacy. At SBI Media, we are proud to have managed every aspect of this initiative, from conception to execution,” he said.

TECNO leadership praised the collaboration, noting that youth empowerment remains central to the brand’s philosophy.

Managing Director Mr. Chidi stated, “These football pitches are platforms for talent discovery and personal development. Working with SBI Media ensured our vision was executed to the highest standard, with strong community engagement and institutional support.”

The completion of the Sanwo-Olu Mini Stadium and Alade Pitch reinforces SBI Media’s reputation as an agency capable of delivering impactful, large-scale projects.
