Desmond revealed that he initiated separation talks in late 2025 and made decisions he later regretted, which contributed to the couple’s decision to divorce.
He apologised to Kristy, their family, and followers, stressing the importance of Kristy as the mother of their two sons and reiterating his commitment to co-parenting.
“I want to begin by apologising to Kristy, our family, and everyone impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” Desmond wrote.
“Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been.”
Desmond said he and Kristy had faced challenges and made sincere efforts to resolve them.
He acknowledged his personal missteps during the separation period, stating that he took full responsibility for his actions and shared them with Kristy directly before the couple finalised their divorce.
He requested privacy and compassion as the family navigates the transition, while thanking supporters for their encouragement over the years.
Desmond added that he would continue sharing his passion for cooking and creative projects with his followers.
