The church reportedly did not acknowledge Ubah, despite his significant role in funding and supporting the construction of the cathedral.
Louis expressed his anger, calling the omission deeply disappointing.
“Brethren, don’t fool yourself. When you’re no longer here, there’s no guarantee your efforts will be appreciated,” he stated, reflecting on the lack of recognition for Ubah’s efforts.
Louis highlighted Ubah’s efforts in protecting Nnewi from security threats, noting that despite not being perfect, the late senator took decisive action when others withdrew.
“He was the only one who seized the initiative when everyone ran away and ensured Nnewi wasn’t completely overrun by the IPOB ESN bandits,” he said.
He lamented that misinformation and false narratives had previously been spread against Ubah, underscoring the need for proper acknowledgment of his contributions.
