The event drew traditional rulers, cultural custodians, and residents, who witnessed sacred rites marking the elevation of prominent community leaders into the White Cap chieftaincy institution.

The newly installed chiefs include Gbolahan Oki as Ogboni Iduntafa of Lagos (Onilegbele); Chief Ajibade Nosiru-Ayeni as Eletu Odibo of Lagos; Chief Adebola Dosunmu as Olorogun Adodo of Lagos; Chief Yusuf Bajulu as Bajulu of Lagos; Chief Razak Onimole as Onimole of Lagos; and Chief Lookman Oluwa as Onisemo of Lagos.

Following the traditional rites, members of the Ògbóni fraternity led a ceremonial procession through Isale Eko, accompanied by the new chiefs. At the palace, they paid homage to Oba Akiolu and received his royal blessings.

Oba Akiolu prayed for the chiefs using sacred items including water, kolanut, and dry gin. He urged them to uphold Lagos customs, serve with humility, and protect the unity of the land.

After the palace rites, the Ògbóni procession, along with other White Cap chiefs led by High Chief Opeluwa Onido, escorted the newly installed chiefs to their respective palaces across Isale Eko.

The ceremony was attended by prominent Lagos Island indigenes, including Lagos State Head of Service Olabode Agoro, local government chairmen, traditional title holders, and notable sons and daughters of Lagos Island.
