Omadino Technical College inaugurated by Oborevwori as Delta boosts vocational education to tackle youth unemployment
Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, inaugurated the Omadino Technical College in Warri South Local Government Area, describing technical and vocational education as one of the most effective tools for tackling youth unemployment.

Sheriff Oborevwori said graduates of such institutions would emerge as skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and employers of labour rather than job seekers, positioning the college as a flagship investment in practical education by the state government.
Sheriff Oborevwori explained that the project reflected prudent management, noting that contractors were paid promptly and that the facility was delivered without borrowing or imposing additional burdens on residents.
Sheriff Oborevwori disclosed that academic activities had commenced at the college prior to the formal commissioning, demonstrating the readiness and full functionality of the institution.
Sheriff Oborevwori described the college as a milestone in the advancement of technical and vocational education in Delta State, citing its internal road network, administrative buildings, classrooms, workshops and laboratories as evidence of strategic planning and disciplined execution.
Sheriff Oborevwori praised the quality of training at the college, pointing to the confidence and composure of a student who addressed the gathering as a sign of effective teaching and learning.
Sheriff Oborevwori emphasised that modern educational infrastructure fosters a conducive learning environment, improves student performance and enhances teacher effectiveness.
Sheriff Oborevwori added that the workshops and laboratories were fully equipped with advanced facilities capable of supporting globally competitive skills.
Sheriff Oborevwori reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the state in line with the MORE Agenda and urged the management, staff, students and host community to safeguard the facilities from neglect and vandalism.
