Fayose warns Atiku over Minna meeting statement

Fayose Atiku Minna meeting warning follows media aide’s statement; ex-governor threatens to reveal details within 48 hours if not retracted

Former Ekiti governor Peter Ayodele Fayose has challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over a press release issued by one of his media aides regarding the Minna meeting with Seyi Makinde.

In a statement posted on his X account, Peter Ayodele Fayose said he was “amused” by the response of Paul Ibe to his earlier release but expressed his hope that Atiku did not authorise it.

Peter Ayodele Fayose warned that if the former vice president does not publicly disown the statement within 48 hours, he will reveal further details about the Minna meeting, including discussions concerning Nyesom Wike, and will do so without reserve.

“Till then, we keep our gunpowder dry,” Peter Ayodele Fayose added, signalling a tense standoff in the political exchanges surrounding the meeting.

The Fayose Atiku Minna meeting warning underscores the escalating scrutiny of interactions among prominent political figures and the potential for further revelations if the situation is not addressed promptly.
