Nollywood actress Georgina Ibeh has disclosed that hackers took control of her YouTube channel, Georgina Ibeh, TV in a disturbing cyber incident that led to its temporary removal from YouTube.

Georgina Ibeh revealed the development in a video shared on her Instagram page, explaining that she received an email notification from YouTube on 9 February informing her that the channel had been removed.

The actress said the message initially appeared suspicious and assumed it was a scam.

Further checks confirmed that unknown individuals had gained unauthorised access to her account and hijacked the platform.

According to Georgina Ibeh, the hackers renamed the account and began streaming political content through it without her consent.

“I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to panic, but I told myself to stay calm,” Georgina Ibeh said, adding that she relied on prayer while attempting to resolve the situation.

Several days later, Georgina Ibeh checked the channel again and discovered that it had reappeared online but remained under the hackers’ control.

The uncertainty deepened concerns before YouTube’s support team intervened.

The actress later received another email from YouTube confirming that full ownership of the account had been restored to her following verification by the platform.

The resolution brought powerful relief after days of anxiety.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Georgina Ibeh said she remained composed throughout the crisis because of a personal lesson she learned years earlier about staying calm in difficult situations.
