Nigerian Fuji musician Shanko Rasheed Atanda has announced the death of his first son, Jamaldeen Atanda. The announcement was made on Friday via the singer’s Instagram account.

In a heartfelt message, Shanko Rasheed expressed profound sorrow, noting the pain of losing a child as a suffering no parent wishes to endure.
He prayed for his son’s peaceful rest but did not provide details regarding the circumstances or timing of Jamaldeen’s passing.
“So sad, no parent prays to lose a child in their lifetime, but Alhamdulilahi Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR rest well my champ. I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again. Omo Ola sun reeee,” Shanko wrote.

The tragic loss comes only a few months after Shanko Rasheed celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday in December. At the time, he had shared a touching tribute to his son, praising the joy and pride Jamaldeen brought into his life.
