US troops killed Iran conflict rises to six as CENTCOM confirms casualties amid ongoing military operations in the Middle East

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that six American service members have been killed in ongoing military operations linked to the escalating conflict with Iran, as major combat activities continue across the Middle East.

CENTCOM disclosed in an operational update issued from its headquarters in Tampa that the remains of two previously unaccounted-for service members were recovered from a facility struck during Iran’s initial wave of attacks in the region.

The identities of the fallen personnel are being withheld pending completion of next-of-kin notifications.

The latest figures mark a significant increase from earlier reports indicating that three service members had died while five others sustained serious injuries during combat operations connected to Iranian retaliatory strikes under what U.S. forces have designated Operation Epic Fury.

According to the command, the initial casualties occurred during coordinated missile and drone attacks launched by Iran against U.S. bases and allied installations following a joint United States and Israeli offensive targeting strategic sites inside Iranian territory.

Military officials confirmed that hostilities have intensified across the Gulf region, with additional missiles fired at installations in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, underscoring the widening scope of the confrontation.

CENTCOM warned that the operational environment remains highly volatile and declined to disclose precise strike locations or tactical details due to ongoing security considerations.

The rising death toll highlights the mounting human cost of the expanding confrontation, as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to drive one of the most dangerous regional escalations in recent years.
