Drama erupts as VeryDarkMan fires warning at Sowore

VeryDarkMan threatens Sowore over image use dispute as tensions rise following B-Lord’s remand and criticism of the legal process

Popular Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan has issued a strong warning to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, threatening legal action over the unauthorised use of his image.

The warning follows Sowore’s criticism of the remand of B-Lord, which he described as “not a victory” and an example of the alleged weaponisation of the law.

In a viral video response, VeryDarkMan declared that any individual who uses his image without consent would face consequences, stressing that the issue is rooted in personal rights rather than activism.

“If dem born you well, use my picture without my consent… I will lock you up. Put am for billboard, I go send you go prison,” he said.

The dispute marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing public exchange, with both figures taking firm positions on the matter.

While Sowore framed his argument around civil liberties and due process, VeryDarkMan insisted that the case centres on privacy violations and accountability.

The controversy is linked to a ruling by the Federal High Court ordering the remand of B-Lord at Kuje Correctional Centre for 26 days.

The charges reportedly include impersonation, identity theft, forgery, and breach of privacy connected to VeryDarkMan.

Sowore had earlier called for restraint, urging his lawyer, Marshal D F Abubakar, to withdraw from the case. He argued that justice should not be reduced to punishment alone.

However, VeryDarkMan’s latest response signals a hardline stance, suggesting he is prepared to pursue the matter through legal channels.

The exchange has intensified public debate over the balance between activism, individual rights, and the application of the law in Nigeria.
