JMG Limited staff sporting festival boosts morale as employees engage in football, chess and games to strengthen teamwork and workplace culture
JMG Limited and Jamara Home, alongside the National Union of Electricity Employees and the Steel and Engineering Workers Union of Nigeria, hosted a vibrant internal engagement programme aimed at strengthening workplace unity through the JMG Limited staff sporting festival.

The maiden edition of the festival brought employees together in a dynamic and energetic atmosphere designed to promote teamwork beyond daily operations.
Organised by JMG Limited and Jamara Home, the event featured activities such as football, chess, board games, and other recreational competitions.
Members of the National Union of Electricity Employees and Steel and Engineering Workers Union of Nigeria also participated, adding a collaborative labour dimension to the sporting initiative.
Employees were grouped into four teams, each displaying enthusiasm, competitiveness, and strong camaraderie throughout the festival.
The atmosphere was described as lively and engaging, with staff highlighting the importance of stepping away from routine tasks to reconnect and build stronger internal relationships.
Chief Commercial Officer Rabi Jammal described the initiative as a unifying experience that went beyond competition.
He said the event reflected shared energy and teamwork, adding that such moments help strengthen organisational bonds and employee engagement.
Chief Human Resources Officer Gloria Ibeziako also praised the turnout, noting that strong workplace relationships remain central to organisational success.
She said the festival reinforced teamwork, improved morale, and reminded staff that employees remain the organisation’s most valuable asset.
The event concluded with appreciation from participants, who commended management and union representatives for prioritising wellbeing, inclusion, and workplace harmony.
