BetPawa NNL bonus payout exceeds ₦295 million as Sporting Lagos and others earn rewards after the 2025/26 Nigeria National League season

LAGOS, Nigeria, May 11, 2026. BetPawa has distributed more than ₦295 million in bonuses and end-of-season awards following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League campaign, which ended with Sporting Lagos securing a dramatic Super 4 triumph in Ikenne, Ogun State.

BetPawa rewards in NNL bonus scheme package combined its Locker Room Bonus initiative with individual and club awards, marking one of the most financially rewarding seasons in the league’s recent history.

Across the campaign, the Locker Room Bonus scheme accounted for ₦287,168,000, with over 5,000 transactions completed for players and officials throughout the season.

An additional ₦8.1 million was distributed in end-of-season awards recognising outstanding performances by players, coaches and football stakeholders.

Among the major winners, Sporting Lagos striker Adebayo Oyedele claimed the Highest Goalscorer award, while Yahaya Hussaini was named Most Valuable Player.

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba secured the Best Goalkeeper honour, with Paul Offor and Barnabas Imenger also among individual award recipients.

Club-level recognitions saw Smart City FC awarded Best Behaved Team, while Inter Lagos earned the Best Supporters Club prize.

The Anambra State Football Association was also honoured for administrative excellence.

NNL financial bonus distributed by BetPawa initiative followed a fiercely contested Super 4 finale in Ikenne, where Sporting Lagos edged out rivals Inter Lagos on goal difference after both teams finished level on points.

Despite Inter Lagos winning their final match 1-0, Sporting Lagos retained the top position, while Doma United’s title hopes ended following a defeat to Ranchers Bees.

Sporting Lagos also received an additional Super 4 reward package, pushing their total earnings from the initiative to over ₦18 million for the season.

The Locker Room Bonus structure, which rewarded players directly after matches, was widely credited with increasing competitiveness and motivation across participating clubs.

Season statistics reflected the intensity of the campaign, with 223 of 272 matches producing winners and 254 games featuring at least one goal.

BetPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said the initiative highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting Nigerian football and improving player welfare.
