The crucial Premier League win ensured Pep Guardiola’s side stayed firmly in contention in the title race as the campaign moves into its decisive phase.
Arsenal remain top of the table, but City’s dominant display significantly tightened the race and increased the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s team ahead of their remaining fixtures.
Manchester City controlled the encounter from the opening stages, overwhelming Palace with sharp movement, intelligent passing and relentless possession.
The breakthrough arrived in the 32nd minute when Antoine Semenyo finished clinically after linking up brilliantly with Phil Foden to hand the home side a deserved lead.
City doubled their advantage eight minutes later through Omar Marmoush, whose strike from inside the area took a deflection before beating Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The hosts continued to dictate the tempo after the interval, allowing Crystal Palace only limited opportunities on the counterattack.
Their superiority was rewarded again in the 84th minute when Savinho calmly converted from close range following a goalmouth scramble to complete the emphatic victory.
Guardiola’s side produced another polished and powerful performance, with Foden particularly influential in midfield transitions and attacking build-up play.
Manchester City’s defensive unit also remained composed throughout the contest, effectively containing Palace attackers Jean-Philippe Mateta and Brennan Johnson.
The result strengthens City’s momentum as Guardiola’s men continue chasing a fifth Premier League title under the Spanish manager.
