Oyo kidnappers hideout demolition Ibadan as state government pulls down house used in Adelabu family abduction case after rescue

The Oyo State Government on Monday began the demolition of a building in Ibadan that was allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in the abduction of the sister of the immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin sons.

Officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, supported by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, carried out the demolition exercise at Lakoun Estate along Olomi-Olojuoro Road in Oluyole Local Government Area.

The Oyo kidnappers hideout demolition Ibadan follows the rescue of the victims by police operatives on Saturday after they were abducted last Wednesday, in an incident that triggered widespread concern across the state.

Heavy equipment was deployed to the location as security personnel secured the perimeter to prevent disruption during the operation.

The structure, which authorities believe was used to coordinate the criminal activity, was pulled down as part of ongoing efforts by the state government to clamp down on kidnapping networks and strengthen public safety.

Residents of the area watched from a distance as the demolition progressed, with mixed reactions reflecting relief and shock over the discovery that the building had allegedly been used for such criminal operations.

Security agencies have continued investigations into the kidnapping incident, with authorities intensifying efforts to track down other individuals believed to be connected to the operation.

The demolition marks a firm response from the state government amid rising concerns over insecurity and targeted abductions in parts of Oyo State.
