Yul Edochie marriage criticism resurfaces as the actor dismisses allegations linked to Judy Austin and vows to remain unshaken by backlash

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has strongly dismissed renewed criticism surrounding his marriage to actress Judy Austin, declaring that neither public backlash nor personal attacks can diminish his standing amid an ongoing dispute involving Judy Austin’s former husband, Emmanuel Obasi.

The Yul Edochie Marriage Criticism debate intensified over the weekend after Edochie responded to fresh allegations circulating on social media and entertainment platforms regarding the origins of his relationship with Judy Austin.

In a Facebook post published on Sunday, the actor maintained that he had endured years of accusations and public scrutiny without suffering lasting damage to his reputation.

“My aura gives my enemies sleepless nights. In the last four years they’ve told all sorts of lies against me and they all failed,” Edochie wrote.

The actor specifically challenged claims that he took another man’s wife, arguing that the narrative was part of a sustained effort to tarnish his image.

According to Edochie, Emmanuel Obasi had moved on from the marriage years before Judy Austin’s rise to prominence in the entertainment industry.

“A man who left his wife in 2013, married another woman and moved on, years after he sees the ex-wife is now doing well and comes back to attach himself,” Edochie stated.

The actor further described himself as resilient in the face of criticism and credited his continued success to divine favour and unwavering support from fans.

“I’m a rock. No mortal or spirit can bring me down. I’m a chosen one. A lion. A king,” he added.

The latest exchange follows comments made by Emmanuel Obasi during an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he alleged that Edochie had prevented him from accessing his children and was harbouring them.

Those allegations were subsequently rejected by Judy Austin, who publicly defended her husband and disputed Obasi’s account of events.

In a video response, Judy Austin praised Edochie for helping to care for her children despite not being their biological father.

“Please, you people should stop insulting Yul Edochie. For everything, he has helped me take care of kids who are not his biological children.

He puts a roof over their heads, pays their school fees, and feeds them,” she said.

Judy Austin also maintained that her relationship with Edochie began after the end of her marriage, explaining that the pair first met on a movie set in 2016.

The actress argued that criticism directed at Edochie overlooked the broader reality of blended families and support systems that exist for many single mothers.

The controversy represents the latest chapter in one of Nollywood’s most closely followed personal disputes.

Since Edochie publicly announced his relationship with Judy Austin in 2022, the actor has faced recurring criticism from sections of the public, while supporters have continued to defend his personal choices.

The renewed disagreement has once again divided social media users, with some backing Obasi’s claims and others supporting the accounts provided by Edochie and Judy Austin.

Despite the continued debate, Edochie’s latest remarks suggest he remains determined to confront the criticism directly, keeping the Yul Edochie Marriage Criticism conversation firmly in the public spotlight.
