Lanre Adedoyin receives the Special Leadership Award from City People Magazine for his remarkable impact as District Governor of Rotary International District 9112. The honour celebrates service, unity and community transformation across Lagos and Ogun states
Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, Immediate Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9112 and principal of T.L. Adedoyin & Co., has received the Special Leadership Award from City People Magazine in recognition of his remarkable impact during the 2025-2026 Rotary year.
Adedoyin, a respected legal practitioner with deep roots in community service, accepted the accolade with humility, dedicating it to the thousands of Rotarians whose support made the year’s achievements possible.
The award highlights his stewardship of the district, which covers numerous clubs in Lagos and Ogun states and was formed following the 2024 split of the larger District 9110.
Under his leadership, District 9112 advanced initiatives focused on sustainability, healthcare, and polio eradication efforts, recording strong growth in Foundation contributions and club engagement.
Adedoyin, who was installed as the second District Governor of the new district in July 2025, brought a wealth of experience, having joined Rotary in the early 2000s and previously serving as Class Captain of Assistant Governors.
“I am deeply grateful for this recognition, which truly belongs to every Rotarian in District 9112,” Adedoyin said in his appreciation message. “Your excellent and wonderful support drove our shared successes. Glory be to God.”
The honour adds to a distinguished record of service for the legal expert, whose contributions have previously earned appreciation from educational, religious, and social institutions.
In a notable earlier gesture, he personally funded the legal incorporation of the predecessor district, demonstrating longstanding commitment to Rotary’s ideals of service above self.
Fellow Rotarians and observers praised the year’s emphasis on unity and tangible community projects. The district, now comprising around 93 clubs and over 4,500 members, has strengthened its footprint in humanitarian work amid Nigeria’s evolving development challenges.
