Rite Foods Limited, led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Seleem Adegunwa, has joined Muslim faithful across Nigeria in marking Eid-el-Maulud, using the occasion to promote peace, unity, tolerance and love as Nigerians commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

The company described the celebration as an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings while strengthening bonds within families and communities.

Adegunwa urged Muslim faithful to demonstrate exemplary conduct and live harmoniously with others, while also using the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s continued growth.

“As a company that shares in the joy of our consumers, we stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters as they mark this important moment in their faith,” Adegunwa said.

“We hope this season brings renewed unity and progress for all Nigerians.”

The message reflects Rite Foods’ broader approach of associating its brands with important cultural and religious occasions.

The company has similarly used previous Eid celebrations to encourage values including gratitude, togetherness, kindness and sacrifice.

Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, said the company takes pride in celebrating significant moments with its consumers.

Eze also encouraged Muslim families to enjoy the season with Rite Foods’ range of products, which includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium drinking water, Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink and its sausage ranges.

Rite Foods has built a broad Nigerian consumer presence over nearly two decades. The company’s official profile says its products reach thousands of retail stores through distributors across all 36 states.

The company’s Eid-el-Maulud message also comes against the backdrop of its growing emphasis on sustainability, innovation and social impact.

Rite Foods says it has received hundreds of awards for impact and excellence, while its sustainability initiatives include efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote responsible sourcing.

Adegunwa has also received recognition for his leadership of the company.

In April 2026, he was named Industrialist of the Year at the Vanguard Personality of the Year Awards, with the recognition highlighting his contribution to Nigeria’s FMCG sector.

Beyond commercial activity, Rite Foods has continued to position education and community development as part of its wider corporate engagement.

In June 2026, the company launched its National Academic Excellence Award, providing N5 million each to seven outstanding public university undergraduates.

For Muslim faithful observing Eid-el-Maulud, however, the central message remains one of reflection and peaceful coexistence.

Rite Foods’ latest gesture places those values at the heart of its celebration, while calling for a more united and prosperous Nigeria.
