A family dispute has reportedly erupted over ₦20 million in pension compensation received by a mother following the death of a female relative, with her other children allegedly accusing her of spending the money on a prophet.
According to a post shared by X user Kemmy, the deceased woman’s brothers and sisters claim that their mother used the compensation money for the religious figure, a development that has reportedly caused disagreement within the family.
The circumstances surrounding the payment, including the identity of the deceased, the circumstances of her death and the purpose for which the compensation was released, were not independently verified at the time of writing.
The reported disagreement raises questions about the management of compensation paid to relatives after a death, particularly when family members disagree over how the funds should be used.
