Tidiam Gomis scored Leipzig’s consolation goal, but the German side could not mount a comeback against the Spanish giants.
Silva opened the scoring for Madrid before Güler extended the hosts’ advantage. Mbappé added a third goal as Madrid continued to dominate, while Diomande completed the scoring to confirm the 4-1 result.
The victory provided a significant boost for Madrid as they continued their Champions League campaign with an assured performance in front of their home supporters.
Meanwhile, Arsenal produced a determined comeback to secure a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Eberechi Eze gave the Premier League side the lead in the 25th minute, but Bayern responded through Alphonso Davies, who equalised 10 minutes later to ensure both teams went into the half-time break level.
Bayern came out strongly after the interval and moved ahead in the 61st minute when England captain Harry Kane found the net, putting the German champions in a promising position.
Arsenal refused to surrender, however, and continued searching for an equaliser as the contest approached its closing stages.
Their persistence paid off in the 82nd minute when Declan Rice restored parity, earning Mikel Arteta’s side a valuable point away from home.
The result reflected Arsenal’s resilience after falling behind, while Bayern were left unable to protect their second-half advantage.
