Anthonet Ngozi Izuegbu, popularly known as Ann and described as a friend of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has been remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre following her arraignment before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
A report by National Waves said Izuegbu was arrested on Monday and brought before the court on Wednesday over allegations relating to cybercrime.

The court ordered her remand after she entered her plea and fixed December 10, 2026, for the next hearing.
According to the report, the arrest followed a petition allegedly submitted by Daniels, who accused Izuegbu of taking her belongings and blackmailing her.
Details of the specific charges filed in the current case and Izuegbu’s plea were not provided in the report.
The police are also reportedly considering additional charges, although no further charges were confirmed in the account.
Izuegbu’s legal troubles have also been linked to allegations previously raised by the media team of Senator Ned Nwoko, Daniels’ estranged husband.
In an earlier statement, Nwoko’s media team said Izuegbu had been arrested over alleged defamatory comments concerning the senator and his wife, Laila Nwoko.
The statement denied claims that Nwoko assaulted Laila and that the alleged incident resulted in a miscarriage.
It described the allegations as false and said they had been circulated without supporting evidence.
The media team also made allegations concerning Izuegbu’s purported involvement in an abortion involving Daniels during her marriage to Nwoko, as well as claims that she sourced or administered controlled substances to Daniels and other individuals.
The claims were made by Nwoko’s representatives and have not been established as facts by the information provided about the case.
The statement further cited a witness account said to have been submitted to the Area Commander at Maitama Police Station on October 29, 2025.
It alleged that Izuegbu and other individuals were involved in activities that warranted police attention.
Nwoko’s media team maintained that the matter should be handled through the legal system rather than treated solely as a dispute on social media.
The latest proceedings follow an earlier court appearance that reportedly did not proceed as scheduled on July 16, 2026.
The case was before Justice Ekerete Akpan of the Federal High Court in Abuja when, according to the report, Izuegbu collapsed and was absent from court.
The matter was subsequently adjourned to September 15, 2026.
Her latest arraignment marks another stage in the legal proceedings surrounding the allegations.
Izuegbu’s remand should not be interpreted as a finding of guilt.

The allegations against her remain subject to judicial determination, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
