At this year’s edition of the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria’s main event which was held December 20, eminent personalities, top and emerging designers and brands showcased their products.

The event which was held at Oriental Hotel was designed for fresh and emerging designers who want exposure but do not have great finances to do other international shows or organize their own private shows.

AFWN provide them the opportunity to showcase and mingle with established designers and other stakeholders in the industry.

The 2019 AFWN themed: ‘AFRICA UNITES’ main event includes two days of Catwalk shows, Exhibition, Fashion Seminar and Panel Discussions, and Exclusive Fashion Gala which will focus on empowerment, job creation, and supporting education and skills training in fashion.

The First Ladies of Ekiti and Kwara State will also be gracing the ‘Saturday Fashion Conversation’ while former Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Omotayo Omotosho, will deliver the keynote speech titled: ‘Fashion as an Instrument of Empowerment and Job Creation’.
