Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a broadcast after missiles hit United States troops bases in Iraq, has stated that Iran is yet to avenge the murder of its general killed by the US.
Recall that early on Wednesday morning, Iran launched ballistic missiles at two Iraqi bases which house U.S. troops, in the early hours of Wednesday morning local time.
It claimed that the recent attacks were to send a message to the ‘lying’ America that its presence is no longer needed in the middle-east.
According to CNN reports, more than a dozen missiles struck the al-Asad airbase and another base in Erbil.
So far, it seems there were no casualties. U.S. military sources were quoted as saying troops were given enough warning to reach shelters before the missiles struck.
