Founder/General Overseer of Living Faith Church also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has finally disclosed why he mostly wears white suits.

While speaking at the Church of God Mission (CGM) MEGACON 2021 on Friday in Benin, Edo State, Bishop David Oyedepo said his love for white suits continues because they don’t fade, therefore they are cheaper to maintain.

The theme of the MEGACON 2021 is ‘Focus on Christ to discover and fulfil destiny.’

He said at the conference: “Do you know why I wear white? It is the cheapest thing to wear. White suits are the cheapest or you don’t know, try it.

“I used to crack a joke with a friend and said, you see my dress, the whole thing how much does it cost because I have the permanent white up and down that I wear.

“If I don’t change it, you can’t know because if it fades, it fades to white.

“White can’t fade to black, it can only fade to white.”

David O. Oyedepo (born September 27, 1954) is a Nigerian preacher, Christian author, businessman, architect and the founder and presiding Bishop of the megachurch Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, and Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel International.

The Winners’ Chapel International network of churches is located in over 300 cities, in all states of Nigeria, and in several cities in 45 African nations, Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States. Oyedepo has been seen as one of the pioneers of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa and has been referred to as one of the most powerful preachers in Nigeria.

He is the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria.

In 2020, he announced that before the year runs out, God whom he claim told him, will plant 10,000 churches globally.

By January 1st 2021, it was announced that despite the disturbance caused by Covid-19, the church was able to plant 10,000 with resident pastors allocated to each.
