‘Wanting more’ Here’s why love of money is not a bad thing

It is indeed a thing to realise that the entirety of our existence as human beings revolve around making money.

From the day we start our educational journey as children to the key life decisions we make. It all prepares us for one thing; being successful. And to disregard the definition of success according to motivational speakers, being successful simply means having enough money first, then other things that equal success can begin to fall in place.

We work hard every single day of our lives for money. When we start building a family, we want even more money. The need for money is a never ending cycle in life. We need it till the day we draw our last breath. But the question here is this, is the love for money a bad thing?

In life, I have come to realise that there are people who work to be able to meet their immediate needs. All they want from life is a small house, small family, maybe one or two cars, be able to afford food, education for the kids and some good clothes. And that to them is success, happiness and fulfillment. They want nothing more, and they refuse to be associated with overwhelming dreams, huge job opportunities and anything that takes them away from their comfort zone. And that is totally okay, being content with a small life and small dreams is fine.

However, on the other side of the world are the people who keep chasing; they want the world and everything in it. After one huge achievement, they start strategising on the next big thing. They want all the latest and beautiful things of life, they want to see all the amazing things and where exactly they exist in the world. This also is okay, it is totally alright for people to want what they want. It is great to want so much money that will be more than enough for an entire generation.

Meanwhile, there is indeed a very thin line between wanting riches and being greedy.

We live in a world where people acquire wealth out of fear. Every one want to make so much money regardless of the consequences. Every human being is allowed to dream big dreams, but not at the detriment of other human beings. In as much as your love for money and riches doesn’t put anyone at risk, then anyone is allowed to possess that insatiable need for money.
