The Federal Executive Council approved a contract of N54,946,009,160.04 for the building of Highway 105, also known as Kuje Road, from the Airport Expressway to Kuje Junction (Stage 1) in Abuja’s Federal Capital Territory.
The contract was granted to Messrs Arab Contractors O. A. O Nigeria Limited with a 48-month completion period, according to FCT Minister Malam Mohammed Bello.
He said the council also approved another project to prove access road and car park for the Abuja Light Rail station at the cost of N1,291,568,845.33, bringing the amount of contracts for the territory to N56.2bn.
He said this was awarded to Messrs CBC Global Civil and Building Construction Nigeria Limited with a completion period of 8 months.”
The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, said the council approved 14 ecological project contracts to control erosion in some states across the six geo-political zones for N15.1bn, under the Ecological Fund.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, said the FEC approved the contract for the clearing of equipment for the deep blue project for N2.7bn to be paid to the clearing agents.
He said the FEC also approved a contract for the reconstruction of the narrow gauge track from Niger to Baro.
