Google has reservations about a Facebook, Twitter-backed proposal for developing a self-regulatory body for India’s social media sector, Reuters reported. An executive from Google-parent Alphabet reportedly said the company was unconvinced about the body’s merits. The body would mean external reviews of decisions that could force Google to reinstate content, the executive reportedly said.
