’10 years after…’ Media juggernaut, Otunba Femi Davies, plans big for anniversary, to reward brands, personalities

A seasoned journalist and publisher of Metronews magazine, Otunba Femi Davies, has promised that the highly frenzied 10th anniversary of the news platform, which is billed for October 10, 2022 at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA in Lagos, will be an evening that would echo for a long time in the Nigerian media and entertainment industries.

In a statement signed and made available to the media by the media juggernaut, a committee of industry brilliant minds has been working tirelessly in ensuring that the three-in-one event is befitting of the reputation of the Metronews brand.

While mentioning events lined up for the evening, the organisers hinted that a new movie by the publisher would be premiered. In addition, a special edition of Metronews print copy, planned to be a frequent publication of societies’ movers and shakers, would be unveiled.

“Aside from all these, not less than 35 Metronews Special Recognition Awards for the Decade would be given out that night to celebrate brands and accomplished individuals across different sectors for their excellence and consistency,” Otunba Davies stated.

Multiple award winning Otunba Olufemi Davies is a respected journalist of many years and is always looking for ways to impact excellent and consistent practice most relevant to the future of the Nigeria’s media industry.

He is a well-sort after PR consultant, publicist and brand manager with an outstanding career that has spanned over two decades. Otunba Davies has helped major Nigerian and multinational brands and organisations including politicians take charge of their narratives and sailed through the storming waters of crisis communications.

As an industry veteran, Otunba Davies has trained and groomed several proteges who have gone on to become major assets to the media industry. He is reckoned with as the crown prince of softsell with his imprint visible in the practice of several professionals who have passed through his mentorship programme or worked and served in one of his several major projects or business undertakings.

Otunba Femi Davies is a journalist per excellence, brand communicator extra-ordinaire, movie producer, artiste manager, actor, entertainer and people builder, who has made tremendous impact in the society through his work in the Nigerian media industry as a social networker.

He is a Rotarian, the president of the Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON) and a director at Dux 94.7FM, a fast growing radio broadcasting outfit founded by Asiwaju Rotimi Ajanaku.
