DA Vs OGD Crisis: What the DA cyber warlords are not telling us

The ongoing political skirmish rocking the Ogun All Progressive Congress fold is not funny. The cyber warriors of Governor Dapo Abiodun and those of Otuba Gbenga Daniels have been at it for a few days and sometime what I read makes me shake my head in shock of what the human tendencies are, especially in the arena of politics.

Naturally, one would think that the next thing on the agenda of the A.P.C in Ogun should be to quickly find a way of re-uniting the fractioning sides of the party, have a sincere sober reflection on why the governor had to struggle so much to raise the controversial 13,915 votes to be declared as winner of the March 18th election by INEC, to return to the drawing board on why the governor lost out in his own town, ward, local government and the entire Ogun East Senatorial District.

But instead, they are busy hitting sledge hammers on what is left of the party whilst also setting the next government on fire even before it is formed by engaging in needless civil war.

The most annoying part of the foregoing is that the reports and narratives coming from Governor Dapo Abiodun’s camp is laced with so much hypocrisy and lies to confuse the unsuspecting reader/public and also paint former governor Daniel as betrayer.

They have refused to talk about the chains of events that led to OGD’s decision to pitch himself against DA during the March 18th election. The story of how OGD won the Senatorial ticket is not a secret – The Governor instructed party leaders not to attend OGD rallies and ward tours.

In Ijebu North for example, OGD was forced to go and use Buruji’s Omo Ilu Foundation Event Centre for his rally at the last minute. Ward meeting organized by OGD was disrupted at Atikori in Ijebu Igbo. Civil Servants who attended OGD rally in Sagamu on October 2 were served Letters of suspension.

What happened to this side of the story?

I have it on good authority too that the governor did not attend any of OGD’s rally despite all invitations extended to him.

Haba!!! You cannot build something on nothing.

To now think that most of those raising their swords to cut OGD to sizes now are people who have dinned, wined and walked closely with him in recent past is very nauseating! You guys are like the Jews of Jesus’ days who on Palm Sunday sang: “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.

Hosanna in the highest.” But turned around against the same Jesus who received accolades of HOSANNA to rain condemnations of “away with him, away with him; crucify him; we have no king but Caesar!” just few days later. I know that Jesus must have been smiling within, as he looked down from his cross and query what has changed? Seeing same set of people who shouted Hossana, Blessed, King of Israel 2 days ago make U-Turn to now be shouting away with him, Crucify him!

And Of course OGD too must be somewhere smiling at some of the writers dragging him in the mud, including those employing pseudonyms.

But then, this is the sad reality of the inconsistency of human emotions!
