Recall that the state government recently ordered and demolished thirteen buildings in Ajao Estate for not having the necessary approvals and violated the law guiding physical developments within the airport environment.

The General Manager of LASBCA, Arc. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki, during a press briefing at state’s capital, stressed the need for all buildings in Lagos State to conform with relevant laws guiding physical development and building construction.
Oki averred that the owners of the demolished properties, apart from building on illegal lands, also violated the law guiding physical developments within the Airport environment by erecting structures beyond the required height in the Airport area.

In her reaction, DJ Switch, who is currently enjoying asylum in Canada over #EndSARS debacle in Lagos, has described Nigerian leaders as animals.
“I see some wicked comments from people it is hard to think we belong to the same human race! Fine! If you want to say people’s buildings are illegal, at least… the very LEAST is to let them remove their belongings. Give a deadline! What kind of animals rule in Nigeria???” she wrote.
A writer, Legendary JOE, however, has slammed DJ Switch as a fiend incapable of contributing anything meaningful to national discourse.
“If DJ switch is the same fiend that claimed to have carried 72 bodies of full grown humans to drop at the feet of soldiers who were at the time shooting directly at them, then nothing she says should bother anyone. You honestly can’t support the burning down of Lagos and then support the dumbest candidate in the 2023 race and be capable of contributing anything meaningful to national discourse.
“Even if the affected folks were moving a toothbrush per day, a soap case per night, since 2016, they would have fully relocated…but you can’t expect a cat to bark just because it walks on 4 legs like dogs, just because some speak like humans, walk on two legs, do not assume them humans, parrots speak too,” Legendary JOE replied.
Tunji Bamishigbin, a lawyer and professional thespian, has described the outcry as unnecessary, insisting that the state government had done no wrong.
“But really, that is the true situation. The land belong to FAAN and there has been warning for years on the danger of its encroachment. Moreover that, aviation fuel pipe line is located there.
“The right to demolish illegally built houses lies with the Lagos state government, that is empowered to issue approval for construction, which those that built those houses did not have. Didn’t Soludo demolish almost hundred houses that had no approval and built on right of way in Onitsha, less than three months that he assumed office? Why was his action not tagged political,” he asked.
An unnamed author has also shed more light on what really transpired regarding the demolition, while advising prospective landowners to be vigilant and obtain necessary documents before erections.
Dear All,
Let me tell you the true story about this demolition . My relation lives opposite street where this demolition took place yesterday.
The entire land in that area belongs to FAAN. Omoniles and acclaimed land owners sold those land . FAAN came a few years back and dug a canal demarcating the boundaries of the land. They warned people not to cross the canal.
People went and bought those land across the canal and built houses on the land that belongs to FAAN which they have been warned . Stop work orders were given and they did not stop. This has been on for some years . The law around there is that no body should build more than one story . Yet one of our brothers built two story. A cargo plane almost crashed into that house a few weeks ago . They have been given notices of demolition one year ago, last six months and last month.
“The thing is that they never took FAAN serious. They never believed it will happen .
“This is a very big lesson:
1) Don’t buy canal and water way to build house
2) Don’t buy land that is encumbered and don’t build on such land
3) Don’t join those who keep saying nothing will happen
Something can happen one day !!!!!
