[dropcap]A[/dropcap]fter Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti on Monday kept to his word that he would cooperate with the police by visiting the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, his arrest has been effected.

Recall that the Afrobeat singer has been declared wanted by the Inspector General of Police after a video of him assaulting a police officer surfaced on social media.
Omoyele Sowore took to his microblogging site, Twitter, to confirm his arrest.
“After visiting the @PoliceNG Commissioner in Lagos earlier today @realseunkuti was arrested , handcuffed and taken to SCIID in Panti by
@PoliceNG officers apparently for further investigations and possible detention over his altercation with a police officer on the 3rd mainland bridge.
“@RealSeunKuti fulfilled his promise to cooperate fully with police investigations and accordingly visited the Commissioner in Lagos with his lawyers,” he wrote.
