The Group Managing Director and CEO of Adron Homes and Properties, Aare Adetola Emmanuel-King, has mourned the demise of prominent Ijebu son, an industrialist, consummate banker and the Olori Omoba of Ijebuland, Otunba Subomi Balogun, who died at the early hours of May 19, 2023 in London, United Kingdom.

Aare Adetola was of the opinion that the shocking death of the founder of First City Monument Bank, FCMB, was a colossal loss to Ijebu People, Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

He made this submission in a release shared with Freelanews, saying his repertoire of knowledge, support and entrepreneurship are needed at this time.

“As Nigeria is transiting to a new government and as a private sector guru, successful business mogul and an astute financial czar, his support will help place the country on the path of economic recovery and posterity,” he said.

The Otun Onigbagbo of Remo Land further described the deceased as a shining light in the banking sector; whose idea has been a game changer in the industry with the astronomic growth of FCMB.

“Otunba Balogun was a well respected man with a large heart. The illustrious Ijebu son was a very generous philanthropist who had contributed immensely to the growth of many people in and outside Nigeria.

“He was a detribalized Nigerian, who was concern about the unity of the country, and he had portrayed this with his endearing persona.

“The lacuna his death has created cannot be filled in a hurry. I pray that God almighty console the family of the deceased and give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he concluded.
