Recall that the Sanwo-Olu led government was dissolved ahead of his second term inauguration coming up soon.
In a post made on the official Twitter handle of the governor, some photos from the dissolution were shared with the caption of the governor appreciating the members for a job well-done.
“Last night, I announced the dissolution of my cabinet and we held our valedictory executive council meeting.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to every member of my team for their incredible dedication and unwavering commitment to building a greater Lagos.
“Your contributions have been instrumental in our progress thus far, and I wish each of you the very best in your future endeavors,” he wrote.
While many Lagosians prayed for the success of the administration’s second term in office, others were quick to point out the spirit of [tooltip text=”owambe” gravity=”sw”]Owambe is a party, Nigerian style. A celebration of life, an Owambe usually marks a milestone – a baby naming, wedding, 50th birthday, or even a funeral.[/tooltip], popular among the Yoruba people of the southwestern Nigeria.
One wrote: May your second Tenure brings prosperity to the people of Lagos. Greater Lagos.
Babatunde Olawale said, “Eko for Show, dissolution of cabinet turn Owanbe. My people love enjoyment jare.”
