A policeman attached to the Alausa Police Division, Alhaji Kabiru Odejimi, has been accused of killing a 24-year-old generator engineer, Damola Idris Bakare.

The accusation surfaced on the social media in a video narrated by the cousin of the deceased, Tomi, who said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Alausa Police Division revealed that Odejimi was even off duty the day the incident happened.
According to the narration, Damola was hit by a stray bullet from Odejimi’s gun when the latter shot indiscriminately into the air to disperse crowd.
