The factional leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Tajudeen Agbede, in collusion with some yet-to-be-identified persons, has allegedly broken into the union’s office in Abuja today.

Recall that the crisis rocking the NURTW leadership tussle took a new twist last week with two president emerging different locations.

The former National vice president of the union, Tajudeen Agbede emerged as a factional president inaugurating a 24 man caretaker committee to pilot the affairs of the union.

For the union, the leadership style of the former president, Tajudeen Baruwa who also re-elected as factional president on the 24th of August, 2023 has put the union on a wrong path which needs to be corrected by catering for the welfare of their members.

The Tajudeen Agbede led faction said they are ready to work with the government of the day.

Several unconfirmed reports claimed Agbede and his boys have been arrested over the forced entry into the union’s office located on 1236 Sapele Crescent in Garki Abuja.

In a related development, the Agbede-led NURTW earlier today lifted the suspension order slammed on the Lagos State Chairman of the union, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo) and other members by the other president of the union, Baruwa.
