The meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Power in Abuja, focused on creating synergy between the ministry, its relevant agencies, and the ECN, a statement by Adelabu’s spokesman, Bolaji Tunji, said.
Adelabu highlighted the importance of local production of essential power sector equipment, noting that developing domestic capacity would create jobs, reduce dependence on imports, lower costs, and enhance the long-term stability of Nigeria’s electricity infrastructure.
“This engagement represents a significant step toward building a more reliable and self-sufficient power sector for Nigeria,” the statement added.
The ECN delegation was led by its Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Mustapha Abdullahi, who discussed ways the commission can work closely with the ministry to implement these initiatives.
