The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), in partnership with bridgeAfric and UNESCO, will host the highly anticipated Showbiz101 Global Workshop and Music Creation Camp from March 26th to 29th, 2025.

The event aims to empower young creatives, encourage international collaborations, and enhance the skillset of professionals along the value chain of music production and business.

The initiative is set to provide a platform for emerging artists, songwriters, and producers to learn from industry experts, gain valuable networking opportunities, and advance their careers.

According to Adenrele Niyi, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of AFRIMA, the partnership with bridgeAfric highlights AFRIMA’s commitment to empowering Africa’s creative industry and nurturing cross-border collaborations.

“As AFRIMA, part of our mission is to build capacity and foster global collaboration. This partnership with bridgeAfric for the Showbiz101 Global Workshop and Music Creation Camp is a natural step forward in our ongoing effort to empower young creatives with the tools, knowledge, and global connections they need to succeed,” Niyi explained.

The event is in line with AFRIMA’s broader vision to enhance Africa’s standing in the global music scene.

Through its seven key pillars, which include the AFRIMA Music Awards, Music Festivals, AFRIMA Creative Academy, and Music Business Hub, the organisation aims to position Africa as a leading force in the global entertainment industry.

Victoria Nkong, President of bridgeAfric and Associate Producer for AFRIMA, emphasised the workshop’s importance in preparing Africa’s future creative industry leaders.

“Education is key to solving challenges within the entertainment industry,” Nkong said. “This workshop will provide young talents with essential skills and knowledge, ensuring they are ready to take on the global stage.”

The Showbiz101 Global Workshop and Music Creation Camp will feature a mix of live performances, training sessions, and recording opportunities.

The event will also include a unique three-day global music camp, bringing together top African musicians from various countries to create new music collaboratively. By the end of the camp, attendees will have produced a global EP, showcasing their collective work.

Artists already confirmed to participate include Juma Jux from Tanzania, Nadia Nakai from South Africa, and DJ Neptune from Nigeria.

The event will also see major representation from the Ivory Coast, with renowned artists like Didi B, Himra, Suspect 95, Kikimoteleba, Goulam, and Gabin Bao taking part.

Additional experts will contribute their insights, including Bizzle Osikoya, Co-founder of The Plug Entertainment, and Sesan Adeniji, General Manager of Vybz FM.

From Algeria, DJ MohGreen will share his expertise, while Eric Bellamy from Live Nation Paris will offer his experience in the global music market. Other participants include Sonia Aimy from Canada and Wendy Harawa from Malawi.

In addition to the workshop and camp, the event will kick off with a welcome Industry Party on Wednesday, where participants can network and officially commence their involvement in the camp.

The event organisers are offering free registration for music producers, songwriters, and artists eager to learn, connect, and advance their careers in the music industry.
