The severally titled chief of Ogun State and a former member of the House of Representatives, Ladi Adebutu, has been bestowed with the prestigious title of Lisa Aje of Egbaland by the Alake of Egbaland, HRM Oba (Dr) Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo.

The referred monarch performed traditional rites and blessed the new chief and foremost Lisa Aje of Egbaland at an event which took place at the Ake palace today, December 10, 2020.

The new Lisa, in his remarks, assured Oba Gbadebo that he would remain a pride to Ogun State economically and socially, stating that the welfare of the people is a priority to him.

Lado as he is fondly called, currently holds various chieftaincy titles like Baba Oba of Odo-Jobore, Sobaloju of Ilisan, Otunba Fiwajoye of Owode land, Okanlomo of Iperu-Remo, Ariwajoye of Ode-Remo & Otunba Nawo Ola of Odogbolu.

According to a politician and aspirant eyeing Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Prince Femi Odulaja, the new title is well deserved.

“Lado has never shied away from putting the interests of his people first economically. He single handedly donated transformers to almost all the over 200 wards in Ogun State in order to boost and sustain the people’s commercial activities,” he said.

The 58years old first son of gaming mogul, Sir Kessington Adebutu, also has his eyes set on becoming a governor in the gateway state. Even though the eluded him in 2019 when he ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adebutu doesn’t seem to give up on the dream of leading his people as it is believed in some quarters that Lado is set to give his governorship ambition another shot come 2023.

The official installation ceremony for his new title will hold on Saturday, 12th December, 2020.
