Hon. Napoleon Ukalikpe and Mrs. Bulabari Henrietta Loolo win APC primaries in Rivers ahead of February 21 by-elections

Hon. Napoleon Ukalikpe and Mrs. Bulabari Henrietta Loolo have emerged winners of the All Progressives Congress primaries for the Ahoada East Constituency II and Khana Constituency II by-elections, scheduled for 21 February 2026 in Rivers State.

Reports indicate that both candidates secured the backing of former Governor Nyesom Wike, defeating other aspirants, including contenders supported by current Governor Sim Fubara.

The victories position Ukalikpe and Loolo as the official APC flagbearers ahead of the crucial by-elections, which are expected to attract close attention from political observers across the state.

Political analysts say the primaries highlight the influence of party endorsements in shaping electoral outcomes in Rivers State, with Wike’s support playing a decisive role in the selection of candidates.

The by-elections, set for February 21, will determine representation for the Ahoada East II and Khana II constituencies, with all eyes on voter turnout and party mobilisation efforts.
