Attempted car theft using LASTMA towing vehicle foiled by alert neighbours (Video)

A woman in Lagos has claimed that an audacious attempt to steal her black Acura MDX SUV, parked outside her residence, was thwarted by vigilant neighbours.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred at approximately 2:30 am.

The yet to be identified woman alleged that an official towing vehicle belonging to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) attempted to pilfer her possession.

In a twist of fate, the culprits allegedly took to their heels when her neighbours, witnessing the illicit act, quickly sprang into action and raised the alarm.

According to the owner, it is believed that the loud noise and commotion caused by the neighbours startled the criminals, forcing them to flee the scene empty-handed leaving their own vehicle behind.
