Nollywood actor James Olarenwaju, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has expressed gratitude after revealing that the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, gifted him a brand-new car, luxury items and conferred a chieftaincy title on him following the birth of his son.
The actor made the disclosure in a Facebook post shared on Thursday, where he described the gesture as a royal honour marked by fatherly affection and generosity.

“My deepest gratitude to His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife. Baba, thank you for the royal welcome, fatherly love, and the confidence you gave my wife Afolashade Omiyinka and I,” he wrote.
Baba Ijesha further said he was humbled by the gifts, adding that the brand-new car and other items reflected the Ooni’s kindness and support.
“For the luxurious gifts you blessed us with, and the brand new car — I am truly humbled,” he added.
He also noted that he was honoured with the chieftaincy title Baba Awada Konge Oduwa, which he described as a significant recognition from Ile-Ife.
The development comes weeks after the actor and his partner, fashion designer Abiodun Tokunbo, also known as Luminee, attracted public attention online following posts announcing the birth of their son.
Luminee had earlier shared details of her pregnancy on social media before posting maternity photographs featuring herself and Baba Ijesha, which sparked widespread reactions and congratulatory messages.
