Babatunde Olaifa becomes Insight Redefini CEO, returning to the agency with plans to drive innovation, technology, and business growth

Insight Redefini Group, Nigeria and West Africa’s leading integrated marketing communications network, has appointed Babatunde Olaifa as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking his return to the organisation where he started his professional journey over two decades ago.

The appointment places Olaifa at the centre of the group’s next phase of growth as it strengthens its position as a strategic partner for businesses across Nigeria and West Africa.

The Babatunde Olaifa Insight Redefini CEO appointment, according to the organisation, reflects its commitment to combining creativity, technology, data, and strategy to deliver stronger business solutions for clients.

Speaking on his return, Olaifa said the marketing communications industry has changed significantly, with businesses now requiring agencies that offer more than traditional advertising services.

He explained that evolving consumer behaviour, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and increasing market complexity have changed the expectations placed on industry players.

“I am returning with a deeper understanding of the challenges businesses face today,” Olaifa said.

“The world has changed dramatically. Consumers are more connected, markets are more volatile, technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and organisations are under increasing pressure to deliver measurable value.”

He added that agencies must now become problem-solving partners capable of helping businesses navigate changing environments.

“Businesses are looking for partners that can help solve real problems, not just create campaigns,” he said.

Olaifa noted that technology should complement creativity rather than replace it, stressing that artificial intelligence and data provide opportunities for marketing professionals to deliver greater value.

“Technology is not replacing creativity; it is amplifying what creativity can achieve,” he said.

Before his appointment, Olaifa served as Country Head of GoMyCode Nigeria, where he focused on digital technology education and talent development.

His career also includes leadership roles at X3M Ideas, Prima Garnet Ogilvy, and Google, where he supported digital adoption and business growth initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The new Group CEO said his immediate focus would be strengthening Insight Redefini’s integrated capabilities while building a culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

“Insight Redefini has always been known for creativity, bold thinking and industry leadership. The next chapter is about building on that legacy while preparing for the future,” he said.

Insight Redefini Group said Olaifa’s appointment aligns with its ambition to remain a leading growth partner for organisations seeking creative and technology-driven solutions.

The company operates as part of Troyka Holdings, West Africa’s marketing communications and business solutions group, with a portfolio that includes Insight Publicis, Leo Burnett Lagos, All Seasons Zenith, Starcom Media Perspectives, Quadrant MSL, Digitas, and Publicis Nourish.

Olaifa described his return as both a homecoming and a responsibility to help shape the future of the industry.

“The industry is evolving, and so are we,” he said. “This is a moment to rediscover our sense of adventure, embrace new possibilities and build stronger bridges between creativity and business growth.”
