Bamidele Tope Saint Okemesi Dies after reported hospital complications. The Nigerian comic actor passed away on February 24, 2026

Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, a Nigerian comic actor, died at a hospital on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, at about 11:50 a.m., after reportedly slipping into a coma following complications linked to medication administered during treatment.

The death of Bamidele Tope Saint Okemesi Dies was confirmed by fellow actor Tony Montana Jeff in a video shared on Instagram.

Tony Montana Jeff said doctors pronounced Okemesi dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. and that the body had been deposited in the mortuary.

“With a heavy heart, I’m announcing to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning, February 24, 2026. Okemesi is gone,” Tony Montana Jeff said.

Speaking on behalf of the Bamidele family, Tony Montana Jeff added that arrangements would be communicated in due course.

The actor expressed appreciation to supporters who had shown concern during Okemesi’s final hours and offered prayers for his soul.

According to reports, Okemesi had spent several hours in a coma after experiencing complications from drugs administered at the hospital.

Further details about the precise nature of the medical treatment were not immediately disclosed.

Bamidele Tope Saint built a reputation in Nigeria’s vibrant entertainment scene for his distinctive comic style and relatable performances.

Colleagues and fans have begun paying tribute on social media, describing the loss as devastating for the industry.
