BOCA Energy celebrates women globally on IWD 2026, reinforcing its commitment to gender inclusion and diversity in the energy sector

In a statement released to commemorate the occasion, BOCA Energy described women as indispensable partners in progress, noting their resilience, innovation, and leadership as forces shaping a better world for all.

The company highlighted the multifaceted roles women play across every sphere from homes to workplaces, classrooms to boardrooms, and local communities to the global stage.

It emphasised that women remain key drivers of economic growth, technological advancement, and sustainable development.

“Today, BOCA Energy celebrates women everywhere mothers, daughters, sisters, leaders, innovators, and change-makers. Your strength, wisdom, and unwavering determination inspire us all,” the statement read.

As a major player in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, BOCA Energy reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s success.

The firm continues to implement policies and programmes that remove barriers, create opportunities, and ensure equal access to careers, mentorship, and leadership roles.

“We recognise that the energy sector has traditionally been male-dominated, but at BOCA Energy, we are working deliberately to change that narrative. Diverse perspectives lead to stronger teams, better decisions, and more innovative solutions,” the company added.

BOCA Energy also called on governments, corporations, and individuals to accelerate efforts towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, urging tangible action to create a world where every woman can fulfil her potential without discrimination or limitation.

“International Women’s Day is not just a celebration; it is a call to action. Let us invest in women’s education, support their dreams, and celebrate their achievements not just today, but every day,” the statement concluded.
