A British man who had relocated to Australia with aspirations of serving as a police officer tragically passed away during his engagement party. Liam Trimmer, 29 years old, met his untimely demise on Sunday, March 10, at his residence in Western Australia while celebrating his engagement surrounded by friends and family.

According to reports, the senior constable slipped and fell during the festivities, resulting in a severe injury to his carotid artery. Despite the immediate efforts of loved ones to aid Trimmer, he succumbed to heavy bleeding before paramedics could reach the scene, as confirmed by the police.
Police commissioner Col Blanch described Trimmer as an “extraordinary officer,” acknowledging the valiant attempts made by those present to save him. The circumstances surrounding Trimmer’s fall and the fatal neck wound remain unclear, prompting an inquest to be initiated.
