Eyewitnesses’ accounts differ on the number of causalities, it is obvious that several souls might have been lost in the collapse.
While some claimed that fourteen workers already rescued so far, our reporter at the scene of incident claimed that only three people were rescued so far, while over 18 bodies have been recovered.

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]n uncompleted storey building housing Equal Right Restaurant on Oremeta Street, Ojodu, Lagos, collapsed on Saturday morning, leaving several people feared trapped under the debris.
As of press time, the exact number of those trapped remains unknown. Emergency responders and concerned residents have reportedly begun rescue efforts.
Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred before 10 a.m., catching nearby residents and workers by surprise.
The restaurant is owned by Hon. Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salau, which was passed down to her by her late mother, Alhaja Wulamotu Salawu, who died on Monday 28th, 2022 at the age of 72.
