The government said creativity must never come at the expense of a child’s well-being, stressing that minors deserve protection both online and offline.
In a statement on Monday, the state government noted that child protection is clearly provided for under the law and must be upheld by all content producers.
It said the rapid growth of digital platforms makes responsible content creation more critical than ever.
According to the government, safeguarding minors is both a legal and moral obligation.
The statement urged creators to focus on content that informs, entertains, and empowers without causing harm to children.
The government stressed that child protection is a collective responsibility and encouraged residents to speak up against abuse.
“See it. Say it. Sort it,” the statement read.
