Candy D Teddy speaks out after NDLEA release on drug charges

Candy D Teddy, 20, shares message against drug abuse after being released from NDLEA custody in Edo State

Candy D Teddy, the 20-year-old TikTok content creator recently arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Benin City, has shared a personal message following her release from custody.

In a post on social media, she described herself as “the latest ex-convict. 20 and dangerous,” while urging youths to avoid drug abuse.

Her statement underscores the dangers of involvement with narcotics and the personal consequences of drug-related offences.

Candy D Teddy, whose real name is Praise Nwogu, was arrested alongside 25-year-old Ebong Emem Oghosa for producing and selling brownies laced with illicit drugs.

The arrest was part of NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to tackle the production and distribution of narcotics in Edo State.

Following her release, she has appealed to young Nigerians to shun drugs, emphasising the importance of making informed choices and staying clear of criminal activity.

Authorities continue to investigate cases linked to online drug sales and the use of social media platforms to market illegal substances.
