Guinnes 70th

Taking to its LinkedIn page, Guinness Nigeria, the foremost stout producer and marketer of Guinness Stout in Nigeria, has raised a virtual glass in a toast to its 70th anniversary.

The social media statement reads: “Today is special for us at Guinness Nigeria because it’s our 70th anniversary! A remarkable milestone for Guinness’ first brewery outside the British Isles. Even though we started with Guinness, we are now home to a total beverage portfolio, including amazing brands like Johnnie Walker, The Singleton, Ciroc, Orijin, and many more! Cheers to 70 years of greatness and many more to come.”

Commenting on the Guinness Nigeria LinkedIn page, John O’Keeffe, President, Diageo Africa, said: “A milestone birthday no doubt. Happy birthday to the entire Guinness Nigeria team. I look forward to being out with you to celebrate one day soon. Stay safe. “

Also commenting, Ekwunife Okoli, a brand expert with over 30 years of consumer goods industry experience in Africa, said: “Cheers to 70 years of building distinctive brands. Guinness is one of the market leading brands that have given so much satisfaction to our consumers, provided a livelihood to employees, suppliers and customers. It has enriched our communities generously and rewarded investors. Cheers to you that have kept the flag flying.”
