This prestigious award highlights the company’s exceptional performance and brand equity, distinguishing it from its competitors over the past year.

At the same event, CRA’s Managing Director and Chief Strategist, Israel Jaiye Opayemi, received the prestigious ‘Edge Grand Prix in PR’ award, the highest individual honour at the Marketing Edge Awards.

This accolade celebrates Opayemi’s remarkable professional journey and his leadership in steering CRA to new heights across Africa.

This marks the second consecutive year that Chain Reactions Africa has claimed both titles, reaffirming its dominance in the industry.

In 2023, the company also won ‘Outstanding PR Agency of the Year’ and its CEO was honoured with the ‘Outstanding Leadership Award in Public Relations’.

The 2024 Marketing Edge Awards ceremony, held on 28 September in Lagos, coincided with the 21st anniversary of Marketing Edge, a leading Nigerian publication focused on marketing and advertising.

Speaking after receiving the awards, Opayemi expressed gratitude to the organisers, praising the recognition as a testament to CRA’s leadership, dedication, and unique approach to delivering value to clients.

Opayemi thanked his team at Chain Reactions Africa, whom he affectionately referred to as his “tribe of creative rebels,” for their hard work and unwavering dedication.

He credited the team’s commitment to strategy, neuroscience, data, and creativity as key elements in the company’s success, and dedicated the award to CRA’s clients for allowing the firm the space to innovate and challenge the norm.

The awards ceremony also featured Marketing Edge’s National Marketing Stakeholders Summit, with this year’s theme focusing on ‘Tech Acceleration: Integrating AI Without Sacrificing Human Creativity.’

The event, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, celebrated brands, institutions, agencies, and individuals who have achieved significant milestones within the marketing communications industry.

Chain Reactions Africa has continued to rack up accolades in 2024, including being named ‘PR Agency of the Year’ at The Industry Awards earlier this year.

The company also earned seven SABRE trophies at the African Public Relations Association (APRA) Conference in Abidjan, the most awarded to any PR firm in Africa.

These awards recognised CRA’s work on high-impact campaigns such as Lagos Blue Rail for LAMATA, 9mobile’s ‘The Hack – Expand Your Hustle’, and Pladis Foods Nigeria Limited’s ‘Next Era of Happiness.’
