Court Restrains NYSC From Rejecting Certificate Issued Enugu Gov. Mbah

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is prohibited from refusing to give the NYSC certificate that Enugu Governor Peter Mbah is currently flaunting, according to a ruling from the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The evidence presented to the court demonstrated that Mbah correctly participated in the NYSC program and that the NYSC had awarded him a certificate of completion, according to a ruling made by Justice Inyang Ekwo on Monday.

Justice Ekwo held that the NYSC misrepresented facts in its claim that it did not issue the certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the last governorship election.

The judge faulted the NYSC for not producing before the court, two files containing information about Mbah’s participation in the program noting that it (NYSC) handled the case with levity.
